"Aremmes" (aremmes)

This morning’s episode of WHYY’s The Pulse talked about cars. Not in a Car Talk sort of way, but more about how cars influence our lives. Yet, Ballaban managed to insert a complaint about the CEL in his car without a hint of bothering to try to figure out what caused it.

I bet that was an obnoxious broadcast.

It was alright right up until whingeing about the CEL coming on
and the car still runs great
but the CEL turned on and I don’t know what it means and IT’S STRESSING ME OUT MAN. At which point the show quickly changed tack and started talking about
interesting stuff again
.

Sounds like I’d be turning down the volume with a hammer. Then again, it’s not like I would have been listening for actual insight anyway.

I literally started talking back at the radio, “find out what code triggered it and GET IT FIXED, MAN!”
To be fair, The Pulse tends to have pretty good content, I just think they could’ve selected better representatives of the “car guy” stereotype from the Jel
lopicnic
corral.

And knowing one of these guys, it was just a loose gas cap.
I think the “car guy” bar is pretty low these days. Reads wikipedia = car guy. Buys old project car hell VW = car guy.
